The San Antonio city council has decided that they know better than the public as to Chick-fil-A's acceptance by the general public. The PC police have decided that the perception of anti LGBT bias by the chain warranted their exclusion.

Can't people use their pocketbooks to voice their social concerns?

Do we really need our decisions to be made for us?

You give silent consent to have certain decisions made for you when you join a society.

We are not a democratic society, we are a republic.

A republic protects the minority from tyranny by the majority.

I really don’t get it. Yes they are founded on Christian values but they hire anyone, serve everyone, pay well, offer benefits, retirement and choose to give up millions to close on Sundays in support of their Christian view. Yes, the founder supports traditional marriage but again the restaurant serves and hires all. I’ve yet to hear of a case of discrimination maybe I missed it .

Not to mention the many instances where they've either opened early/late and served those caught up in natural disasters, etc. Beyond which - I'm tired of a group of elitists making "moral" decisions that will also allow criminals to remain within the community to prey on the citizenry.

Why would we even consider having a concession at the airport that is closed every Sunday and on Thanksgiving and Christmas?

They have not been accused of discrimination against customers or employees. The issue is that the foundation donates to anti-LGBTQ charities that oppose same-sex marriage and support conversion therapy.

How would Chick-Fil-A fans feel if the foundation was contributing to a group that supports increased gun regulations?

Their customers would decide that, wouldn't they? Not a political group with an agenda.

Sure, and the customers would expect their elected officials to represent their interests, as is happening here. If elected officials are hearing from large numbers of constituents who care strongly about an issue, they're going to pay attention.

If a fast-food chain that actively supported gun control wanted a slot at the airport, what would you do?

I wish people would stop protesting this place. Every time I go the lines are wrapped around the buildings sometimes almost 3 deep.

Their money, their choice.

Liberals are truly mental.
