Actually the Angelika in Dallas is showing, stop-loss which is also showing at the Rialto. The Angelika is also showing Smart people, Girl's Rock, which are playing at the Paladium, in addition to stop-loss. So who is catering to who here?

True art-house cinemas do QUITE well and don't need to show the usual fare to keep the money coming in. Angelika, Magnolia, ArcLight and smaller theaters all do well without having to cater to the mainstream clientele, offering fantastic films, as well as after-movie Q&A's with the creative teams behind them.

Contrary to your belief, a movie house does not need Johnny Depp's latest Disney effort. It's simply San Antonio that needs a different frame of reference...

I'm sure it'll happen. Just not tomorrow

Why do you let it bother you? Don't go and see it if you don't want and let the theater survive as best as it can.

San Antonio is not other cities, is it? It doesn't help that the Bijou is located in Crossroads mall, a mall where half the shops have closed up and the mall is slowly dying.
