That's just ridiculous. Republican or democrat, rich or poor... unless you're bedridden and by yourself in the middle of nowhere with no friends, no family, and no caregiver, you can get an ID. Unless, of course, you're not eligible to vote to begin with. Which is what that whole 'ID required' thing is about.

LOL - really? When I was younger, you didn't have a chance in this state unless you WERE democrat. Gerrymander? Democrats wrote the book on it - and still do. It's nothing to do with "voter suppression".....unless you're saying that the average democratic voter doesn't have the mental capacity to follow simple rules to legally vote, but the evil, SMARTER republicans do?

Could it be?????

I am not taking sides so no need to get all defensive TRN. I am just stating my observations and opinions based off of that.

It doesn't matter to me who is re-writing the voting rule book or the gerrymandering because either way I don't support the act(s) if the underlying reason for doing it is to gain political power. Politics is dirty and both parties are playing dirty right now on the state level and national level.

It is a tough pill to swallow but Texas isn't going to be Red for the rest of your lifetime.

The Republicans DO admit it. Read this article I linked earlier in this thread.

How about Greg Abbott's recent botched attempt to purge alleged non-citizens from Texas voter rolls that led to his secretary of state losing his job? I'm sure that wasn't aimed at members of any particular party, was it?

And how about the election fraud case in North Carolina where GOP operatives collected and discarded absentee ballots? That case that was so blatant that the election was voided and a new one was called. Yet we're not hearing much from the voter fraud conspiracy theorists about that situation.

No, just illegal aliens and dead people. Just the kind of people the democrats like on the voting rolls.

Most of those on the purge list turned out to be US citizens, No? It is also my understanding that most on the purge list were also non-whites as well.

Really?

Last time the records came out I did not see many Europeans flooding across the board. Pathetic analysis.

So I am wrong? It was really an question I am asking, that is if what is being reported on some new sources is in fact true? Gregg Abbott handled this purge in an ethical and legal way?

No need to get defensive and ugly about it...just looking for some input on this.

I'm not interested in who wound up on the list. The two classes of people I mentioned were who the state was primarily looking for. The hunt was corrupted by over-zealous staffers.....
