My partner and I are in the very beginning stages of moving to San Antonio from the Kansas City area. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what area would be similar to south Overland Park/Olathe? Shopping and restaurants. Urban suburbs? Also will people be accepting of us here? We are down here seeing his family and may just want to scout out the area. I did use the search tool and couldn’t find anything on this.

I moved from Kansas City in 1984 and it was an easy transition. The weather in the summer here is much like KC but lasts much longer. Bad weather is rare. The people here are very nice and thoughtful. Acceptance is not a problem no matter your race, creed or color. Public schools leave a lot to be desired. Traffic really sucks.
