My daughter's school (Spring Branch MS, Comal ISD) is having what they call Shadow Day. I am not sure if other schools in the district are doing the same. They are to, instead of going to school, shadow someone in a career field that they would be interested in for a day. She has a great love for animals and would like to shadow someone who works with them. This is to be done May 5th. If you are someone who can help out or know of someone, please let me know.

I am of no help on this, but what a cool idea! Our company is participating in the "Take Your Kid to Work" day--if you work at the corporate office in Chicago.
I'd love to take my son, but can't.

Thanks. If worse comes to shove, one of my good friends is a PNP at Randolph AFB in the peds clinic. She can probably hang out there. Kinda like what NurseDana mentioned, kiddos can be animals at times.
