Yes they are, but the OP wanted "something similar to parker or lucas", which are smaller, affluent towns, over 30 miles outside Dallas.

In that case, OP, you should expand your search. New Braunfels and Spring Branch are both within that 30 mile distance. NBISD and Comal ISD schools are excellent.

With your budget, you could easily get several acres around a very nice house anywhere in Comal County.

If you want to move a little further east, part of New Braunfels is in Guadalupe County, too.

Lots of gated communities, if that's important to you, some with acreage, some with houses closer together.

You'll find an abundance of choice; have fun narrowing it down.

If I were the OP I would look in Boerne, Fair Oaks Ranch, Spring Branch, and Schertz south of FM 78.
