You have to be a Sam's member (and pay $100) to use their pharmacy?
That's not how it works at Costco.
You can use the Costco pharmacy (and get its low prices) without being a member. Whenever you need a prescription filled, just have your doctor call the pharmacy, and then you'll pick it up like you would any pharmacy. And you don't need to be a member to buy your medication either!

Even the "Gold" membership is just $60/year.
You need that to join the prescription program, but check on the prices first. High blood pressure meds might be as cheap with it without the membership. Or the price difference might be so little it wouldn't justify membership.

This is an old store so no self checkouts. Funny I haven't seen Sam's stuff in the store so I assumed it belongs to Sam's. I should find another Walmart that's up to date.

From time to time I do see Sam's stuff in Wal-Mart. Much like Central Market in HEB locations or vice versa.

I haven't shopped at Wal-Mart in awhile though. I am not sure how to put it nicely but the one nearest to me (I-10 and Vance Jackson) is pretty scary after 7pm, even more so after 10pm.

That's the one that was set on fire awhile back to cover up a jewelry theft. It was closed down for a bit after that. Bad place.

That Walmart on Roosevelt / Military is the worst, I avoid it all costs. I prefer the newer one at Palo Alto and 35 on the South-side because it is easier to get to for me and not as chaotic inside. The one on Ray Ellison on the Southwest side is not bad either.
