H-E-B is planning to open a store on the far West Side — a fast-growing slice of Bexar County.
The $15.4 million, 111,553-square-foot store and parking lot will be built at 14325 Potranco Rd., according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
Spokesperson Julie Bedingfield confirmed the San Antonio-based retailer is adding a store in the area and said it expects to break ground early next year. Construction is anticipated to wrap up in June, the TDLR filing indicates.

Are their employees unionized?

This was in this morning's newspaper.I wish they would build the one in Cibolo. Yes, there had been plans to build on on 1103 in Cibolo. Hurricane harvey came in so this was not a priority.Don't know what they eventually want to do, but we need another one here. I like the Schertz store on 3009, but it's always crowded and parking is hard to find. The parking lot they had for the grocery pickup is all tore up, and they now have that on one side of the parking lot next to the pharmacy.Usually I go to the HEB on KittyHawk in Universal city.

I live here out in Cibolo too and can’t wait for them to build like they have planned. I hope they didn’t back out cause there’s no way in hell they are gonna leave us with the 3009 store. Not with all the growth out this way. Why they decided to all of a sudden announce over there on far Westside when they already had one planned out this way awhile while who knows. I know they’re known to purchase and then back out on land. They got out of the deal on 1604 and nacodochez out by rolling oaks mall.
