4-6 months and depends on the size. The payment depends on the financing and how its set up.

4 to 6 months on building a new home from scratch.. although I have seen it done faster.. and not sure with what is going on now .. how long it would take now.. since there is not much going on on that area..

The pre-existing mortgage depends on the individual.. do you already own a home and are trying to sell it and get into another house? Most of the time.. a lot of people normally have to have their previous home sold before they get into a new mortgage (not always so provided you can finacially back up having two homes and possibly rent the first home out to someone under a contract to show proof of income on the first home).

You questions are rather vague but hopefully I have answered maybe a question that you had...

Our house took about 7 months to build. You don't finalize the the mortgage until it's finished being built and it's ready to be moved into. At least that's how we did it. But yeah, like any house, you have to pay before you can move in.
