Depends on the racial preference these days it seems.

Anyways, the position she resigned from. I can't imagine anyone wanting to do it other than for the money and to pad their resume.

Default Oh Sure,

Kathnry, this is exactly what I was commenting on.
Persons of color, particularly African Americans, have a much higher rate of infection from the virus than the rest of the population. In cities earlier this year when covid cases first began to appear on a large scale a disproportionately large proportion of the cases were concentrated in African American communities. The highest of the numbers were within these communities. I do not know if the stats. have changed.

Why does anybody do any job? The same is true for bookkeeping or car sales or Fox News hosts.

People go to school to study public health and then they get jobs in public health departments in counties, cities, and towns across the country. They work to keep their communities healthy by preventing the spread of disease. Seems like a worthwhile role, but suddenly they have become agents of George Soros trying to take away our freedoms. WTF?

Well that is not true for any job. What the US president gets paid is far less than CEO of most large fortune 500 companies yet they take that job? Why???

Sometimes fame and power outweighs the money.

Running for elected office is not the same as taking a job. There's a whole different set of motivations involved.
