And I've looked here on CD's classified section... where else to look for good deals on used furniture?

I know I'm the thrift store queen but when looking for something VERY specific then it's tiresome to go in and out of every thrift in town.

I am trying to buy inexpensive beds for my kids. Preferably captain's beds (with drawers). I hardly see a thing on CL lately that's reasonably priced.. people are crazy and want what you can get it for brand new! I'm sorta broke and can't spend that much.

Any other thoughts for online classifieds or whatever?

Freecycle San Antonio. It's worth a shot. You just never know what will become availabe for free. All you have to do is go and pick it up. If you don't want it you can always politely decline.

Try garage sales - you will be surprised what you can find. Hit or miss though.
