I'm pretty sure it was $1.46 or $1.48 at that same station yeasterday.
I filled up my truck for $20 even yesterday and that felt outstanding. It's so nice to wach both numbers move at almost the same speed
Chevron on Potranco did the same thing..jacked up to 1.55 ..they were at 1.42 along with Bigz.

While, looks like it was good while it lasted but gas prices are starting to climb back up. HEB+ on Potranco/1604 was at $1.55 yesterday, $1.59 just now. Valero next door is at $1.55, Murphy's (Wal Mart) at Potranco/1604 is $1.55, Shell on Military/1604 is at $1.59. We're going out to fill the cars now, before it hikes again.

In my humble (and totally UNeducated about it) opinion ~ we'll see it back up in the $2.50 range by Spring Break, if not sooner.

I think it was just a spike and caused by some stupidity. The NYMEX has it back down to $43.72/barrel now and that is about $7 lower than it was yesterday.
Prices will go up, but they shouldn't right now. This is just some greed kicking in and hopefully people don't panic.

ok, oil is currently at an amazingly low $33.51/barrel NYMEX.com and gas prices are either steady or slowly growing. They're obviously getting more greedy and need to be called out on it. It's nice that gas prices are lower than they were, but they really should be a lot lower.

I think the problem is demand is down so to make any kind of profit, the stations are raising their prices. Gas prices are not proportional to the price of a barrel of oil right now, and there is no explanation for it that I can find. We left on our trip to Europe on 3 Jan and the average in our area was $1.35 gal. We get back on 15 Jan and it's up to $1.65. Why the 30 cent increase in a week and a half, especially since the price per barrel has dropped?

Yesterday the Murphys at the Potranco Walmart started the day at 1.79, by the afternoon it was 1.49 and remained that way the rest of the day. The line to get in the parking lot was insane.
