At c-stores in Dallas, the beer displays were all empty 12 pack cartons. They would tape a hundred or so of them together to make a nice stack, and there wasn't a single beer in them. It was pure comedy to watch some little thug come in there, grab a (what he thought was a) 12 pack handle, take off running, and turn around in shock when he realized he was dragging the whole damn empty thing with him! Hilarity!!

Not too long ago I was nearly knocked over by a teenager making a beer run at the Valero at Ellison and Potranco. His buddy was backed in a parking slot to the side of the store. It happened about 1:00 pm. I calmly wrote down the license number and description of the car and gave it to the store manager. She didn't even know she'd been jacked. The police were called. A few days later the idiot came back but was run off.

hmmm, I think I might have to make sure my son doesn't see this beer run thing as an innocent prank.. I'm fairly certain he wouldn't, but better safe than sorry

This incident also reminds me of the kid who worked at the Little Caesars right next to the Valero. One day he decided him and his buddies needed some beer so they took a couple of six-packs from a Budweiser truck making a delivery to the store. Everybody saw him, everybody knew him and he lived less than a mile from the scene. He's now a guest of the state..

Sometimes there's a door man waiting outside to open the door for you just in case the clerk has access to an auto door lock button.
Are there Circle K's around here?

Last one I knew of was near my house in CA, and that's been gone for years!

So would this area - Map of [7900-8061] Santa Catalina San Antonio, TX by MapQuest
be considered good or rough? It's kinda nearby..
The houses I was looking at were right around there..

I checked the crimebase for that street, and there are 8 instances of the police being called in the last 3 and a half years or so--2 times for info, once for a sudden death, so 5 times for criminal mischief and the like. You can read the police reports (well, partial reports, anyway) for yourself and decide.

Nope. One was a black toyota supra the other was a black nissan. One other thing they had in common, they were both idiots.
