Our 16 year old Chihuahua is probably more aggressive than the average Pit Bull. I call her "killer". She is only aggressive towards strangers and she is a good watch dog. She loves us to death and would do anything to "protect" us....lol

in that case, I would definitely wait until you buy and check your home owners insurance company restrictions prior to settling on a company. Many will have a clause asking about breeds of dogs or aggressive dogs generally and may either charge you more for the increased potential liability or not underwrite the policy at all. HOA's may also have restrictions so you'll just have to do a little more research on properties, or find one without HOA which is common outside of the sub division areas.
