Hey friends,

Am planning to move to San Antonio from New York and have a few questions to ask before I consider pulling the trigger. I am planning to take a week long vacation to San Antonio to explore and want to make sure I am able to find all that I need.

1. Is there a good selection of christian churches?
2. Is there a good selection of private christian schools for kids?
3. Where is a good area to buy house which isn't too close to other homes and comes with a decent amount of land (2-5 Acres)?

Any help would be appreciated!

1. There's plenty of churches.
2. There's plenty of private schools.
3. What is your budget for the land? That will guide many responses.

For land I would look west, south, or east of San Antonio. North is too full of new developments.

Yes, plenty of churches and private schools.

One thing San Antonio has never learned is proper buffering of land between neighborhoods and roads. They seem determined to pave every inch of land. So if you want land, you’ll need to look in the hills.

The quadrant between I-10 and U.S. 90 will have acreage sites (outside Loop 1604, that is). Closer in, you may find some acreage sites, but the price will be in the millions.

You’ll love San Antonio, and there are tons of smaller towns if SA seems to big or hurried. Same with Churches.... there are mega-sized and smaller congregations. I’m sure you can find your fit !
