But much less common then in the other areas.

The northeast side has become a bad part of town. When people say "northside" they generally mean north of loop 410 and west of 281 from my experience.

I found a “Murder Map” for 2020 on KSAT, 15 murders for NE, 12 for NC and 16 for NW. NE, NC and NW are all the “northside” to me, I never heard anybody say the northside is north of 410 and west of 281 because geographically it’s not just that area. Unless City Data is an exception.

San Antonio is an interesting place for geography experts. My favorite is when people in red bird ranch say the live on the northwest side, they are straight due west. There’s nothing north about it, unless they mean north of Mexico.

Huh?
The property taxes can be raised 10% per year even if it's passed from family member to family member until it reaches the appraised value, which, for some, seems like never.

And why is keeping property in a family a bad thing? Often those families could never afford to buy elsewhere, because prices have skyrocketed while income has not. Even maintaining the taxes can be burdensome for many.

For the OP, yes, San Antonio is slightly majority Latino (67%), but you can be in some areas that feel like they're 100% white. Some schools are 100% Latino while others are < 30% Latino. We're pretty segregated here.

What are those white parts of San Antonio?

Alamo Heights is the whitest school afaik if you don't include schools in the suburbs or small towns outside of SA (New Braunfels, Boerne, Smithson Valley, etc) and it is 40% hispanic. So my guess is there aren't any schools that are 30% hispanics unless they are talking about private schools. This number is closer to the number of hispanics in San Antonio (64%) than the 100% hispanic schools are.

Smithson Valley is in Comal ISD, it's not its own district. Just FYI.

Reagan and Johnson are both 40% white and hispanic I think. Honestly though, living up here I never really noticed much of a real cultural difference between the two groups. They just kind of blend together IMO. Besides the mexican nationals, but that's a different story. Inner city/west side is a much different dynamic.

I would fathom that Shavano Park would be just as or more white than Alamo Heights.
