we could use some...

dh started with a fever tuesday night --- by friday he had fever, chills, the shakes, started vomiting, massive nasuea, dizzy...we also noticed the top of his rt foot looked a little swollen ...

off to the ER --- dh had very low blood pressure --- 90/60 --- very dehydrated --- we got a room very quickly, only waited apx 15mins (yea Methodist) --- as we sat in the room dh started sweating profusely --- i looked at his foot, which was now beet red and was hot to the touch and he had red lines shooting up his shin towards his knee, about 5 of them --- his foot is now very swollen

needless to say they think it is some sort of staph infection, cellulitis is what they are calling it --- they are hoping it is not the MRSA staph infection that is out there --- dh still has low pressure --- 102/54 --- we are waiting to get the blood work back ---

we'll take any and all well wishes ---

wow, that is awful and hopefully it will get better soon. My wife spent 5 days in the cardio unit at Methodist in 2006 and they were really good. I'm sure he's getting good care and hopefully will be back home soon.

Please let us know how he is and what is going on!

On a side note...I don't think this whole city is doing well right now. DH works in the ICU at a hospital and said EVERY ICU unit in town is
full!!!! I haven't seen him for days he's been working so much! I guess the other ICU personel has said they've never seen it like this. I don't know what is going on or where they are sending the patients since the units are closed.

Best wishes to you and your family. I'm sure your DH is in good hands!
