However, earlier in the week I went into HEB without a mask (by mistake...but I'm fully vaccinated). I contemplated running to the car to get it, but it was pouring rain. I felt horrible going in to get my eggs. I have never been so fast in getting in and out. I felt so much shame and guilt not wearing my mask, even though I've been fully vaccinated since late February. I know not everyone feels that way, though.
I do not understand why anyone would feel guilty about not wearing a mask, if they're fully vaccinated (plus two weeks). That is completely acceptable, based on the most recent guidance from the CDC. Do we believe in the science, or do we not? The mask has become a nothing more than a symbol at this point, or a virtue signal. If I am wearing mask, despite being fully vaccinated, I am demonstrating that I am a good person. If I am not wearing a mask, I am assumed to be a Luddite, or some sort of anti-masker/anti-vaxxer conspiracy theorist. This is simply not the case. The CDC has cleared fully vaccinated persons to remove the mask. There is a statistically insignificant risk of those persons either contracting, or transmitting Covid to anyone else.

I am fully vaccinated, and as of tomorrow, I am looking forward to ditching the mask in public.

You may want to keep it handy for the businesses that still fuss about it.

God the mask pandering is amazing.

I thought we were to all follow the science... Also the whole point of the vax is that you don't need to worry if others are vaxed.

Yes, I keep them in the car for those businesses that still require them.

Chester’s Hamburgers

They even have a sign that says respect people who wear a mask and respect people who don’t.

A local gun shop has a sign:

"Don't enter this GUN STORE wearing a mask"

Been up since it all started.

Haha, Love it! At this point , I refuse to patronize any store that is going to require a mask.

This could be also a safety measure. I saw those signs, but also:
"You come in pull your mask down so the staff and the camera can see your face. You can put your mask back on if you want to."
