Yep. I really wish Paul would just stop claiming that figure as fact. He's been doing so for years.

Just because they say it, doesn't make it true nor should you go around year after year proclaiming it as fact when common sense and basic observational knowledge tells you it isn't. Come on Paul, you are smarter than that.

Excuse me how did you know it was me, sucka? Dam you good and you better not be looking through my windas.

I grew up in a city that was known as something that sounds like "South America's Heaven" because of the increible number of skyscrappers in that city.

I take San Antonio over any city that is full of skyscrappers like Caracas.

The bottom line SA is full of browntown skyscrapers , SA needs to put a little color in its skyline. Austin has surpass SA as the third best skyline in Texas. This is only the beginning of everything else it will pass SA in. ex.. inner city lofts developments on the near west and east sides

I made some great points in this thread regarding tourism vs non-tourism and the differences in regards to these vibrancy arguments - no, I'm sorry, a downtown whos livliness is largely made up of tourists, who come for a few days, stay in hotels, and then leave, is not what creates a burgeoning, urbanized downtown with a variety of living, shopping, and dining options.

I agree about Austin and how its downtown is moving forward at a rate too fast for San Antonio to keep up.

They also surpassed San Antonio in cost of living

Should we take money from parks and schools to build pretty skyscrappers that only a hand full of people are gonna use?

Why are you worried about what other cities are doing?

We keep making the same points over and over - because San Antonio continues to get left further and further behind in terms of development.
