Opportunity To Work At A Horse Ranch (how much, live)

OK, long story here; but I will try to keep it short.

I have a second cousin in Germany who would like to come to the States this summer to work at a horse ranch for a few weeks (for the experience). She can pay her airfare but was hoping for room and board at the ranch in exchange for her labor. The problem I don’t think she can speak much English, and I am not sure how much with experience she has with animals. The request came through my uncle who was visiting a few weeks back, and he only had limited details.

So, I was just wondering if anyone knew of a place in the local area that might offer such an opportunity?
