San Antonio experienced its hottest May on record (it seems that lately every year is a record) this month with multiple days reaching 101 degrees, according to the National Weather Service's local office. The records date back to spring 1885.
Of course, that's just the average. San Antonio's actual temperatures were a lot steamier.
There doesn't seem to be much relief on the horizon for San Antonians, either.

Hope everyone is safe, hydrated and stay cool somewhere indoors with A/C.

Here is a list of cooling centers for citizens of unincorporated Bexar County and the suburban cities are accessible at the below locations.

I'll be there for all of July. Can't wait! LOL.
I should really stop going in the summer time, but with kids in school, its the only time when I can go for more than a week.

There is a lot of humidity here. Just standing outside is like a sauna.

What I do to work around the property during the day and to not get overly sweaty was work a little, take a dip in the pool, continue working with when shorts for 30 mins, dip in pool or get sprayed with the hose, repeat cycle until the sun starts going and then its hard to dry off.

Need to make sure my above ground pool is clean and filled up on day one.

August is typically the hottest month. I take 110 Vegas weather opposed to 99 San Antonio any day amd twice on Sundays..its really oppressive during the summer.

Yeah, I heard that. Usually for my birthday I go to the zoo or botanical, and then lunch and a movie. This time it's lunch and a movie, plus dinner somewhere around 7 or 8 pm. Will see what the weather holds on Thursday. Alsp don't forget to keep the pets cool.

Yeah, this is brutal compared to last year!
Last summer in New Braunfels was gloriuos, we had rain once or twice a week at this time, cool nights with the windows open. And I think it only got to 100 once...all summer...

Two summers or (or maybe 3), I remember it got to 114F in July/August in Southern Bexar County. That was the hottest it's ever been for me in this area. My AC was struggling to keep the house comfortable, so we just rode it out by taking a drive for a couple of hours (when gas was cheaper).
