Can anyone tell me about the Denver Heights area? I'm looking at a place that is by Denver Heights Park. The other place I'm looking at is near Central Catholic High School This would be for a short term vacation rental with a possibility of a longer 2 month or so rental if I relocate. A friend lives in Alamo Heights, she wasn't crazy about either but I tend to think her opinion of anywhere outside of AH might be just a tad biased.

I found some topics here on Denver Heights but they're anywhere from 5-10 years old and neighborhoods can change a lot in that much time.

I’d be by central catholic. It’s just a bit closer to downtown/more of the eclectic SA stuff. You may be closer to the ATT center in Denver heights, but you won’t go there to get a drink every night. I’m mid 30/single female, for reference.

I'm a bit to old for the club scene, LOL. Good to know though that you'd be OK with the Central Catholic area, since I'm single/female too. Thanks!

Oh. I'm not into the club scene either. But dinner, drinks, coffee, etc. It's a better place to be.

I know a guy who lives in Denver Heights and was an early part of the gentrification that happened there. He loves the location, but dislikes the fact that so many of the homes in his neighborhood are owned by out-of-town real estate speculators and being being used as short-term rentals.

Downtown 100%.

Denver heights is on the rise, but it is not as mature nor has the same potential of downtown.

Downtown or right south of downtown. Or even right north of downtown. Even right west of downtown would be OK although not as good as the other options. Avoid east.
