Check Grissom Road on Saturday mornings--get there early--it goes for $1 a square. It's just some random guy with a flatbed trailer loaded with grass squares. Don't ask me which kind, 'cuz I'll tell you the green kind. I have no idea which type! Like I said, be there early as it goes quickly!

Home Depot and Lowes will both have them during the summer and they measure about 3' x 1' and cost $1 each I think. Trying to keep your lawn green in this awful weather is going to be hard at best.

You won't find wholesale grass at Home Depot. You might find it at the places mentioned in these threads.

Harry Higgins... cheapest and best St Augustine grass but you have to have a truck to pick it up... they will load it with a forklift. Don't have the number on me at the moment but it is in the telephone book. It has been around forever and is off the highway somewhere on the south or east side??? They have a farm and grow their own so have perfected the secret to healthy grass... the St Augustine/Bermuda mix is a little cheaper and just as good... I would recommend going with the mix.
