My hubby and I were discussing the unbelieveable growth of SA lately, and the potential for property values in this almost undervalued market.

What do YOU think the future holds for property values in San Antonio over the next 5 to 10 years?????

Default Appreciation 5-8%

I do not think San Antonio will appreciate more than 5-8% simply because of the outrageous property taxes in bexar county.

If the property taxes were cut to some kind of normal rate housing prices would go up.

Also, wages in San Antonio are depressed so I do not think it will ever take off like in the W. Coast.

I read in the Express News last week that in 1996, 66% of homes in San Antonio were valued under $100,000, and today that has gone down to 26%. This trend will continue, especially with all the houses being built over $100,000. You do see some homes being built on South side in the 70's-90's, but it is getting harder to find...especially in the 70-80's range.

Thats 11yrs ago, do you have any idea how much inflation has gone up in the past 11yrs? Prices have not gone up, the value of the dollar has gone down!
