And yet another sad report...
Three dogs (pit bulls, also known as Staffordshire Bull Terriers) broke out of a fenced backyard on the city's Eastside.
When police arrived, they found Washington's ear had been torn off and saw that her face was bleeding, according to the San Antonio Express-News. She also had bites on the back of her head and arm.

This is why I make friends with all of my neighbors dogs. I know their names and they are familiar with my voice. Once my neighbors dogs escaped and they were all at my front gate, I told them all to go home, and they did. It was a planned escape, I guess. They were from both of my neighbors. There were a German shepherd, a pit, and 3 rottwheilers.
