Took the day off because my oldest son "graduated" from elementary school, and he wanted to eat at BigZ burgers in celebration. While there we saw a sign concerning a warning about tomatoes from the Texas Health Commission. My boss got sick last Thursday night and ended up in the hospital. He and his wife (also sick) ate some fresh salsa at a restaurant on the NE side (don't know which one). The problem is, my boss is diabetic (and over 60) so such an incident could have had major consequences. As it was, he was in bed from the minute he got home from the hospital...

My daughter and I heard this on the way in to work this morning. Then she wanted Taco Smell
(haha, got that from Sapphire) for lunch. Well, I ate the tomatoes, I hope I don't get sick. While I was eating them and getting her for picking her's off (she hates tomatoes) she laughingly told me they could be the contaminated ones. Now y'all got me thinking

I'm surpised HEB took them off of their shelves, they said last night on the news that we probably weren't affected because HEB gets their tomatoes locally.
