Does anyone know why Wlagreens charges $1.60 for the sunday paper, whereas anywhere else its $1.50? I know .10 not a big deal but if several people at all the locations are paying that extra dime.... ya know what I mean?

1.50? I thought somebody stated $2. I'm definitely not renewing now... should be cheaper for subscribers.

Last time I checked they were 1.60 everywhere. But it's been a while--I just read it online and there's nothing to recycle. I wish I was organized enough to use coupons! But, the few times I have, I usually end up buying the store brand since even with a coupon they are way cheaper. Just my experience.

I made a deal with the EN. You don't bother me, I won't bother you. The EN has a history of hiring unreliable route deliverers. And they get changed as often as I change socks.....

We just moved into a rental house (while we put our house up for sale) and was going to just transfer it. We only get the weekend edition (F-Sa-Sun and I think holidays are thrown in) and it just jumped from $11.80 to $13.

Was going to transfer it to the new address thinking there isn't anything better but from what I am reading... might be a good idea to cancel my subscription totally. Then stake out Sams or HEB and instead of avoiding those guys shouting at you from the table, go up and see what they can do for me??

Just bought today's Sunday Express-News at the corner store: $1.75. It was $1.60 at the same place last week.

I had home delivery, but had to cancel due to delivery problems, and then later billing problems.

I've bought the Sunday paper for $1.50 twice in the last two months... I wonder if there's a price hike going on, or if some locations are just working out a deal to make a little extra profit? Strange...

I think you could be right. I noticed the Sunday edition is the only one that doesn't have a price posted on the front page, or anywhere for that matter. Until recently, it was $1.50 or $1.60, depending on where you bought it. It's starting to look like they are allowing sellers some flexibility to charge what they feel people will pay for the Sunday edition at a given location.

Well, after paying $1.75 for the Sunday Express-News at Valero last week, I picked up today's Sunday paper for $1.60 at WalMart.

I passed by a coin operated newspaper rack last week and noticed the Sunday price was posted at $1.50. The problem with newspapers sold in retail stores is that I never see the price posted on the display, and the Sunday edition doesn't have a price posted on the paper itself. You don't know what you're going to pay until you actually check out.
