Does anyone know if they ever put the clock in the Hemisfair "Clock Tower" (see attached picture)? It was built in 1988 as part of the Hemisfair Park renovation, but they did not have the money to pay for the clock mechanism. It has been 20 years and was wondering if it ever got installed. Last time I was there (about 5 years ago) there was still no clock. Maybe the city should get on that?

So that's what that tower was meant for. I'm almost certain there is no clock there now.

BTW, the city is discussing a significant renovation and repurposing of Hemisfair park. It sounds like buildings and structures would be demolished as part of that project. That clockless clock tower might not even be a feature in the next generation of the park.
