Well it is well underway...here is the best site to track the construction.

Project Overview (http://www.sanantonioriver.org/overview.html - broken link)

It is very impressive. No other city will have a riverwalk like ours...you will be able to walk from Incarnet Word all the way down to the missions near Loop 410.

impressive...

I remember when Las Vegas, NV wanted to do something similar down the Strip when I lived there. What a project that would've been!

I have been following a small portion of the River Walk Construction with almost weekly pictures of the development near my downtown office. I post some of the pictures Moderator cut: personal blog site, but when I'm done, I'm going to make one of those little movie slide shows to show the progress from when I started until it finishes. Should be sorta neat.

Hey SilverCreek - I've visited your blog before but didn't see the Riverwalk construction updates... very interesting watching the construction evolve over time and the new river/walkways take shape. I'm confused about one thing though... it doesn't appear that the sidewalks are very wide - maybe enough for 2 or 3 people abreast - and I'd been told there would be a bike path for the entire stretch north to south... do you know more about that?
