Went passed IPAC and both dealerships had the flags at half mast. (mast) <not sure on spelling. Is it for the soldiers?

My son asked me the same question yesterday when he noticed a couple of half-mast flags near 281 and Bitters. I'm curious to hear the answer, too.

I googled and couldn't come up with anything. I'm guessing it's for a soldier who was killed last week (I remember reading it in the paper last weekend).

we received an e-mail @ Lackland on Thursday that all flags on base would be at half-mast for a Marine that died. I can't remember his name, but we did all wonder why it would be that way for one particular Marine.

God Rest his Soul...if it were not for those that are willing to defend this country, none of us would enjoy the freedoms and comforts we have.

"The solemn pride that must be yours, to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of Freedom"

RIP
