A few of us CD'ers have decided to start a bookclub in this area of town. It will be an informal meetup - likely every 6 weeks - where we will share our impressions/opinions of a book we have all read. To make the club even more enjoyable - we've added a food component to it. Everyone will bring a dish to eat at the Book n' Cook - as well as copies of the recipe to share. This way, we can try new foods, swap recipes, and enjoy a few laughs while we discuss our books.

We are opening up the club to anyone in the area who would like to join. We are thinking that the first meeting will be sometime in August (lots of time to read the first book!) and will be held at one of our member's homes in the Potranco/1604 area.

Our first book selection is "Good Grief" by Lolly Winston. The food theme will be cakes and pastries...YUM

Please DM me if you'd like more information.

I just sent you a DM. This sounds like fun! And since I've yet to attend a meet 'n greet this will be good. I'm going to let a friend of mine know too whose husband just left for a TDY for 365 days to see if she'd like to join and have some time just for her...if that's okay with everyone?

I'd love to go, but I'm a horrible cook.
If I can get someone to watch the baby, I'd love to try and attend though.
