Question(s):

1.) Does anyone know where to find land that is reasonable?
2.) Any good custom builders in San Antonio?
3.) What areas are best in the SA metro area?

That's a really vague question. There are great builders here. Just need to know what price range. There are some affordable areas. Just need to know what side of town you need to be on and what "affordable" means to you.

The third question can't really be answered, as there are too many variables.

The best two builders with the best product that I have seen in the last 10 years that are still going strong are:

Mann Homes
http://www.mannhomes.com

Monticello Homes
Monticello Homes | San Antonio, Texas

Take a look at what they do and you won't be disappointed.
