Hello everyone:
My husband is a native of San Antonio. I am Colombian (South America, where Shakira comes from). We are moving to San Antonio as soon as our house is completed late this year. I've been to San Antonio several times but I haven't seen any Cuban/Colombian/Caribbean restaurants. Anyone know of any? We currently live in South Florida where you are either Cuban, Colombia or from Venezuela.

thanks to all...

Azuca (http://www.azuca.net/welcome.asp - broken link)is the restaurant that comes to mind for me in that category. They do some great things with Cuban and Caribbean food.

I have not found any good Cuban restaurants, but you might want to try La Marginal - a Puerto Rican restaurant at Nacogdoches and 410. La Marginal - San Antonio, TX, 78217-6044 - Citysearch

Welcome to San Antonio... what part of Colombia are you from? My cousins are all from Bogota and now live in - where else - Miami. Have spent time in Cartagena and fell in love with the area. It's a beautiful country!

what's the name of that restaurant on Medina Lake? My wife and I went there several years ago and they had some good Carib food. Not sure if they're still open or serve that type of food though.
I'd love to have a good, authentic Cuban sandwich. Last time I had one was in San Diego.

yeah, Oasis Bar and Grill. We were the only ones in the restuarant that night, so it may not have lasted. I remember the jerk chicken being really good.
I ran a Google search on it and it is still listed, but it's not the original site, just a part of the Medina Lake page. Probably not a good sign

I ate a very good Cuban sandwich at the Achiote in the Grand Hyatt Hotel. I'm a white dude who misses Cuban food. I grew up in Hollywood, Fla (a Little north of Miami).
