Our son, a USMC sent me an email yesterday with the below video link.

Given the story on the Metro page of yesterdays paper that Army Spc Byron W. Fouty was laid to rest at Ft Sam after being killed in action in 2007 and finally being returned home, I think that this is appropriate.

To answer our sons email question, Yes son, you DO make us proud! You and all those that are willing to defend our freedoms and rights make us so very proud.

RIP Spc Fouty, and thank you for your sacrifice.

You should be very proud of your son. I'm proud of my brother-in-law that's currently serving in Iraq for the second time. I'm proud of all our service men and women and I thank God every day for them.

Thanks...I guess I am just a little more sensitive now to the fact that there are SO many that give SO much for us all to enjoy the freedoms to study, worship and live in such a wonderful nation.

It is kinda like breathing...you just take it for granted sometimes, but it is essential to our very being.

Paka, it takes a special kind of person, that loves our country so much, that they are willing to stand up and fight for it, and our feedoms. Be proud of him as we all are. For him and the rest of the men and women who serve, I would like to thank you.
