Dr. John Wissinger performed surgery on me a little more than 10 years ago, a lamenectomy (x2). Haven't had any problems since. Not sure whether he's still practicing though.

Supposedly Hilton but I think you need to go to Houston to get the best. It is said that all doctors in SA will tell you that you need surgery even when you don't.

Default your back problem

I know this guy Dr. Pappolla in Houston. He treated my wife (for neck pain) and myself (for back pain) when I lived in New Orleans before Katrina (he also relocated here to Texas). I had two back surgeries which did not help. He uses equipment to block pain transmission through nerves, I can't remember the name exactly of the procedure he did but was something like radiofrequency treatment. I have no pain now. I think he practices in Pasadena Texas or Houston. May be worth paying a visit to that guy if you don't like the knife. Ed

Well if there is someone in houston better than Dr. Hilton, they must be VERY good. Dr. Hilton invented the MITR procedure(arthroscopic disk removal) and he trains other surgeons how to do this.

My wife had this procedure done over a year ago and she was basically pain free after she woke up from the surgery. I would highly recommend Dr. Hilton
