I have a son who will be starting first grade this year. I will be student teaching and will be unable to work so money is a little tight. I am looking for after-school care for my son from after school until about 5. I can afford $120 a month. The after school program Galm endorses is way to pricey for me. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Have you tried: ASK Locations

My son goes to the one at Murnin and I want to say it is about $180 a month...but they do offer financial assistance if you qualify. Go to their homepage and there is info right there on who to call for that: San Antonio Urban Ministries

ASK is great. I recommend it highly. Even can pay on line now.

Yep...I just have them automatically do it so I don't have to remember to throughout the year.
