Anyone who knows Medina Lake knows about "the cliffs". Here is a picture of it now. NO WAY would I jump off. For those who don't know....... you see the rock jutting out from the top (triangle shaped)? This is where you jump from
I'm sure there will be some idiots jumping this summer. What they don't know (unless they have a depth finder) is that the land right under the water does not go straight down anymore. It is only about 18' deep there. I hope nobody gets hurt

Oh well, looks like I will be saving some money on NOT using the jet ski much this summer. It's fun in the kayaks when it's this low ( we find lots of "treasures") but hard to get them to and from the water.

Yea, last weekend at the lake, I was wishing that I still had my metal detector .

When we first started staying at the lake for a month the water was at an all time high ( so I am told) it was awesome! It was right up to the banks. We would just slide the kayaks into the water. The past few years it's either time to evacuate the RV park because of flooding or it's way down like now. Sometimes both in the same year!

Pedernales has some great buddy sites too. Potters creak has their family sites where you can park 3 or 4 trailer on the same spot. No trees for shade but a huge covered picnic table area. Looks right out on the water. Just good luck finding it available.
