I don't know how often a lot of you drive by the De Zavala Wal-Mart and the post office over there...but just a friendly heads up.

I was on my way home today past the Valero where De Zavala goes down to one lane (speaking of rude drivers....) and saw a group of police officers on motorcycles giving tickets to drivers who speed up and cut ahead in the lane where it goes down to one lane.

So if you are in that area and do cut in front be careful for a bit...and if you don't that's why it's moving a bit more slowly.

It's about 2 miles away from Clark. It's two lanes from about the post office to Clark. One lane goes into the Clark parking lot and then the other lane on the other side of 10 is the trouble spot.

Don't give a heads up on this. Let them get caught so they can learn a lesson.

Funny, I'm always wishing for a cop out on 1604 on my way to work every morning. The sign clearly states "No Driving on Shoulder" but there are always an equal number of cars on the shoulder as there are in the lanes, whizzing by without a care in the world. If you actually get in the lane, (Like I Do) your trip takes an added 32 seconds or so. GMAB, people!!! (and yes, I know this because I've done the shoulder thing ONCE and figured I'd be the one that got a ticket that day) I've since decided that 32 seconds is not worth the $200 bucks or so I'd be out if I were to get a ticket--not like there is EVER anyone out there to enforce the rules.

too bad the traffic cops don't do things like this more often. Get the stupid and rude drivers instead of the ones going a little fast.

Wow, it's like magic! I wish, it happens.
Sorry to the guy in the minivan that got pulled over by DPS this morning, but dude, there's a sign! Do Not Drive On Shoulder

Lightbulb 1604 turning onto 151

The 'intersection' is going to have to be corrected before TXDOT gets around to putting the on/off ramps under 1604 in order to get 151 to flow into Alamo Ranch Pwky.

The left turn lanes - yes, there are two, should be started well before where they currently start. It would not be that difficult to extend the TWO left turn lanes another 1/4 mile. Most drivers in the morning commute slow down since that area is congested but not all drivers slow down. There can't be any drivers driving through this area from 6:30 to 8am every morning that have never seen this intersection before.
