We are moving to SA at the end of February! Yippee! So excited...

Our daughter is 7 months old and we are on the waiting list @ First Presbyterian Childcare Center located downtown. The next available spot will open up in August therefore we have temporary care at another location.

If you are familiar with First Pres, please share your thoughts. We took a tour of the facility and loved it. To top it off, they are NAEYC accredited and almost half the cost of what I'm used to paying in the Northeast!

If you are familiar with the school are you also familiar with the church? We are thinking of joining.

Thank you,
Tommi

Thumbs up First Pres.

Hello,
My name is Lori and I am a student at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas. I am an early childhood major and did my practicum hours for an education course at First Presbyterian Children's Center. I loved it! I completed 100 hours of service and experience in the toddler room (1-2 yrs old). The teachers at First Pres. are very knowledgeable in early childhood and know how critical the early years are in a child's life. I worked by a teacher's side all day 3 days out of the week, and experienced first hand all of the stimulating and developmentally appropriate activities that the children engaged in. I was amazed how even in the infant room, the teacher was providing the infants with activities that involved using their five senses and allowing them to exercise their knowledge and awareness of the environment around them by providing them with stimulating toys and activities. I had a wonderful experience with the children, staff, and parents at First Pres. This center definitely lives up to their accreditation from the National Association Education of Young Children. Good Luck, I know you'll love it!
