Anthony, should I start setting up the sprinklers in the yard for the weekend? What are the chances of SA remaining hot and dry as usual?

Officials there must have a lot of confidence that the storm will track to the north.

Does anyone know if planes will still leave SA Saturday late morning? If Ike turns more north, can a commercial plane fly over or around it? I totally don't know about these things. Thanks.

I went to super Wallyworld at Potranco/1604 yesterday around 5:00. It wasn't bad at all. I really thought there would be more crowds.
The water was disappearing along with bread and snacks.

That store is NEVER crowded so I went out of my way to go there and I'm glad I did. I hear HEB at Culebra/1604 was a nightmare.

UTSA has set up a hurricane monitoring site to keep the campus community informed - Closures and Cancellations - The University of Texas at San Antonio

The site will post any closures and/or cancellations as a result of Hurricane Ike.

The weekend shopping shuttles will not operate this weekend. Also in preparation some routine operations have temporarily been suspended. Keep in mind that a large number of students are from the Gulf Coast.
