Just curious, how people who moved to Texas (S.A.) in the last couple of years, feel about the area, and if they plan on staying or moving back ?

Just do a search and you will see what we mean. These threads always turn out ugly as I'm sure this one will too.

Peace out

Threads with a premise like this are often viewed as fishing for negative opinions. Local folks who like the area resent the fishing. This view is present in the other forums on City-Data, too... but in my experience, threads that do this fishing generate a more vigorous reaction here.

Resentment or not, I remind the members that asking the question doesn't break any rules. Carry on.

Sorry to offend
I was just asking
Perhaps others should ask also

This area has had a HUGE boom in population
Anybody ever worry what would happen if many out of towners left again ?
Anybody worry about empty / for sale homes in your area ?
You should
Our newly built neighborhood has "for sales" everywhere
3-4 homes are empty, as the owners just left it, hoping it sells

Its just been a question on our minds in our home
and it should be on everyones

I could easily rip a few things around here
but it wouldnt help you or US

anyway, no biggie
I guess I should use the search option

..and having "no one respond to it" doesn't break any rules either.

I'm sorry, that just seems like you're completely and totally fishing for negative responses.

Maybe you're not but "I could easily rip a few things around here" doesn't help your stance.

cinboerne, seeing as how you're a recent transplant, tell us how you feel.

The poster didn't say whether or not they were a transplant. Only that they had moved to a newly built neighborhood.

Not really, it doesn't make sense to move across the country in order to just turn around and move back. Despite the fact that right when I got here I turned around and went back to the PNW. That's just extended business travel.
