does anyone know what this drama is all about? KSAT news says that Time Warner might stop broadcasting KSAT, and how we can get involved?

Have you been to the website they spoke about on tv yet? It was very vague but gives you some idea about what's going on:

TW's website lists dozens of channels with expire/d/ing agreements:

Programming Changes

"Time Warner Cable San Antonio’s agreements with programmers to carry their services routinely expire from time to time. We are usually able to obtain renewals or extensions of such agreements, and carriage of programming services is discontinued only in rare circumstances. The following agreements with programmers are due to expire soon, and we may be required to cease carriage of one or more of these services in the near future:"

I just happened to call TW because I was having connection issues with my cable (screen kept going black), wait time was about 10 minutes. They said they were getting flooded with calls regarding KSAT and that message running along the bottom of the station. KSAT is trying to charge TW for their reception. I remember this kind of thing happening last year with some other station, can't remember off hand which one.

I'd rather take TW's side in this case. If TW pays what KSAT's owner wants it to pay, that cost will be passed on to the subscribers. That will lead to a larger increase in our cable rates.

Seems to me either way the consumer pays, either monetarily or inconvenience.
