I live near a Bayseas on WW White road but I have not gone there yet. Is the food good there?

rudys seems to be very reasonable and each dinner comes with extremely large portions.

Fried mushrooms with gravy from Rudy's. You're right about generous portions from Rudy's.

I was offering a suggestion that provided the answer and trying to help the thread avoid reinventing the wheel.

It is. AFAIK, the company has never provided an explanation for why they shuttered those stores. None of them have re-opened as anything else, either. I wonder if the company is working on another restaurant concept to put into those locations? It seems strange to see those buildings on busy corners sit idle with no lease or sale signs.

-- Well, thanks for the thread hint but it really never answered what happened when you look at the last posts. But whatever.

The one at DeZavala and I-10 is becoming a bank or something. Just in time for all the bank failures!

I don't like Sea Island either, to expensive for mediocre food.
Oh my, we ate at Shrimp Island for the first time last week. Never, ever, ever again! My husband and I both agreed that it was the worst meal we had ever eaten. Maybe we just had a very bad, but unusual experience? I don't ever take food back but I had to with the grilled shrimp I had ordered, it was cold and sandy. When it came back, it was luke warm and sandy. It went downhill from there.
I do like Joe's, Red Lobster, and Pappasitas.

I am not a fan of Bill Millers but I have only eaten there one time.
