I give this new HEB store high raves. This is the best of the best Plus stores in SA. The only drawback is that you need an helicopter to get in to the store and one to get you back home because of the traffic. I would thinnk helicopter services would make a good business niche in that area until they do something with HEB. I saw my neigbor who lives in Fox Grove make a right west on Evans to go through Stone Oak Sub's division to get to Stone Oak Blvd to get back to Fox Grove. What a mess 281 @ Evans. This was at 1:30 in the afternoon, I can only imagine whats happen during rush hour

It's awful...the new light is timed to let quite a few cars out of HEB, but Evans backs up...in the early am, the lights are blinking red...

It seems to do better when the lights are blinking. Heaven forbide . . . we told them that a four way stop would work. At least the traffic keeps moving that way.

The beer selection is very poor. I was disappointed.

Terry: Take Cibolo Canyon's Parkway and go straight through to 281.

Mr: If you want a good beer selection - go to the new Alon Market. Maybe the HEB + has a poor selection on purpose because they want people to go to Alon!

Default Eh

I am kind of missing our old "little" HEB at 281 and Evans. It just seemed a little easier to get into and out of in my opinion. I hate that I have to walk the whole store to pick up a few basic items. I know it's all marketing etc...just kind of bummed...There are definitely some positives and I know in time it'll grow on me...

Completely agree with you and I haven't been to the new one yet. I'm boycotting :P I think I'll start hitting Sun Harvest for produce more often, but then again that 1604/Henderson Pass area is a mess to drive through too.

I want a grocery store - a plain ol' grocery store. Not a mega-mart.

Yes, it does flow better that way. After spending an eternity at 281/Evans, now I spend another eternity in the pm at Evans/WInd Springs!

Yes, nearly a year after the "plus" at Blanco/1604 has been open, I still miss the old, normal HEB.

A Trader Joe would fit nicely where the old HEB store was at 281@ Evans. What is the best time to go catch good traffice going to the new Plus?
