One of the lovely problems of "four-sides brick" is that the weep holes are great little inlets for wasps! We now have some (potentially hundreds/thousands) little intruders into our little girl's bedroom! Yikes!

Anybody have a rec for an exterminator that treats for wasps? I'm googling now, but thought I'd see if anybody had any experience with this......

Yikes! That's like something out of a horror movie! I've never had that exact problem, but we use Apple Pest control. They have been great so far and seem to know what they are talking about! The best thing is, when I call them, they are usually out the same day! Call and see if they can deal with that sort of problem.

I've been using Bulwark Exterminating since I bought my home brand new 3 years ago and have had no insects inside the house. During their first visit, they placed a porous steel mesh-like material into all the weepholes. It lets moisture get out, but prevents little critters from going in. It looks like the metal dish washing scouring pads you can get at HEB.

Thanx for the rec's guys! And svg ~ I'm sure otherhalf would LOVE to try the either and lighter treatment, buuuuuuuut.....

And yep Stan ~ we're familiar with the steel wool in weep holes thing. We did that when we lived out in the country to prevent the scorpions from coming in, but just hadn't noticed many scorpions here, so hadn't done it yet. bummer!!

Yeah, apparently they've built their nest(s) inside the wall and then they come in to the bedroom under the wall, where the baseboard usually is (we're currently stripping/refinishing the baseboards, so they're off). The joy of an old house!

Got somebody coming out tomorrow morning ~ so the bedroom is "Out of Order" tonight and under the door is jammed up with towels!
