Hello everyone. Being new to the area thanks to uncle sam and moving to schertz, I need to establish new cellular service. I need some recommendations as far as which networks has been good to you, clear reception and especially affordable family plan. I've been checking out Cingular, but have not met anyone here who has that service.
Thanks you all in advance...

We have Verzion and have been happy with it good service for the most part. Mom has Sprint and she does not like it very much for this area ( she is a full time RVer and other places are fine but she has trouble with service here in SA/Boerne area

I had reception trouble with Sprint and went to Cingular two years ago. No problems now. If you go way back into the Hill Country you will probably have reception problems no matter what service you use.

I use cingular and have never had a service problem. I had one minor issue that was taken care of immediately by the San Antonio Regional VP. But that is another story. Great HOMETOWN company.

I've had T-Mobile since it was Voicestream. I'm very happy with them and they are very reasonably priced. Their customer service is great too.

I have t-mobile and I love their customer service. The down side is that it doesn't work in hill country. I know Verizon and Cingular have better better reception so I'd recomend them for you.

Well you can finally meet someone who loves Sprint.

I've had Verizon and hated it. It roamed in Universal City.

I had been with Sprint before I went to Verizon and only switched to save money and was glad to go back with Sprint when the Verizon contract was up.

Hopefully Verizon's coverage area is better.

Hi,

I had a Sprint phone for years and with free Long Distance I did not get charged for any calls I made from my ranch North of Boerne (my home plan was San Antonio). I had great reception, never had a problem with the bill, and generally had a very positive customer experience with Sprint. Just make sure you get the right plan with the right features that you want because everyone that I know that hated Sprint it was because they went over minutes and got charged 25c a minute or they signed up for the wrong plan and got charged for roaming. Just be carefull to read the full contract before signing on the dotted line.
