Bravetenebrous, I believe you already started a discussion in another thread, but I think you are paying too much attention to a report that may be out of context. I moved here about 18 months ago and I can tell you that have never feel any threat to me or my family anywhere in the city. Some areas are definitely nicer than others, but at least where I live, work and play, we feel extremely safe.

Also, just a piece of feedback, your comments are comming across as somewhat aggressive, so if you are genuinly interested in relocating here, I recommend you expand your search to consider other reports and opinions from SA residents.

I've lived here 14 years and have never been a victim of any kind of crime. The only person I've ever known to have been a victim of a crime is my FIL - his truck got broken into a few years back.

My wife and I are disable and retire.We make extra money working the Flea markets.
Which we enjoy very much. We are planning on moving to San Antonio ,October,2013.
Because of the doctors and hospitals .
Any suggestion where to look for a house to rent. We like to get into area that is
close to a market.
We been paying $500 -$ 550 a month for rent.
