I'd certainly be interested in hearing more about these plans that AT&T and Frost have for new downtown buildings. I know many in SA, myself included, have kind of singled them out as sources of new downtown business towers/developments. Since I dont have Andres Andujar's phone # handy, do you know of somewhere I could go to get more info on this, 411?

Unfortunately I do not, however please check out Moderator cut: website removed, click on city forums and you will find san antonio downtown updates. Some time last year Andres created computer downtown renderings of what Frost Bank and AT&T towers would look like. From what I know for sure is that Frost had planned a 30-50 sturcture since way back in 1989(source: San Antonio Light) This will seem more likely now and in the future as Frost continues to grow in deposits and throughout Texas.

In the River North plans (link below) you can see some of AT&Ts expansion plans. It is mentioned on pages 9 and 31 and can be seen on page 8 (area surrounding "E"). The documents states there may be 2 twenty story towers (pg. 9). One at AT&T and I have heard rumors of one being a new facility for Frost. The new AT&T facility will include at least 4 new office buildings and 2 parking garages on both sides of the Riverwalk connected via a walk-across. Trolley will be available to facilities on both sides of the river.

Lots of interesting things to read about with River North - River North

The red arrow points to the 20-story AT&T building. The two white buildings across the river are the current buildings. The new complex will span both sides of the riverwalk. This is from the River North plan mentioned above. All brown buildings are new.

As it stands right now, the tower has been cancelled and will now be a horizontal building instead. Essentially, it'll be a 20 story building on its side.

We have the HDRC to thank for that. Maybe River North will bring change?
