Hopefully you're not bringing your car. We already have more than enough drunk drivers here.

If you're just an alcoholic or simply love drinking, you'll be in paradise.

First Friday and Wurstfest (even though that's in New Braunfels) would be cool to go to.

Cool, we need more responsible drinkers and my daughter said Wurstfest is a lot of fun.

I have to second Wuerstfest! If you like fun and parting and crowds and great music, that is the place to be this Friday. Lots of college age kids and older from SA, Texas State University and UT in Austin. Most of them find places to crash in New Braunfels or San Marcos. It's a long time tradition in New Braunfels and a lot of fun for anyone of all ages. New Braunfels is only 30 minutes up I-35....a cab drive might be a little pricier, but it's still do-able.

Some of my friends still go and it's always crazy and wild and a little taste of the German culture.

Sapphine had a good link to happenings this weekend too!

PS....if you land at some of the newer hotels in Garden Ridge (off I-35 and 1604) you'll almost be in New Braunfels.
