Bexar County Sheriff's Dept. non-emergency phone number

210-335-6000

BCSO Phone Numbers (http://www.bexar.org/bcsheriff/phonenumbers.htm - broken link)

It would be good to program this into my phone (also outside of SA city limits!) and yes, call them to report these kids - for their benefit as well as ours! Good idea!

I have a no soliciting sign on my door and it works well. We watch them come up the sidewalk, see the sign, then turn right around and leave.

We have had these people come to our door *4* times at least in the past year - two last year about this time and now two different ones in the past two weeks. We live in Cibolo Canyons. (Not far from Fox Grove where someone else said they were bothered) - just off 281 and Stone Oak. They are extremely pushy (as stated) and can get really agressive. We have young children, too, which makes it esp. awkward. They will catch you when you are outside and just won't leave you alone. I'm also sick to death of all the guys that stop by trying to sell you meat out of the back of their truck - seriously!!! Their line is always the same ... "You like steak, right?" Uh, yeah, right ... like I'm gonna buy some frozen dead animal from you ....

Oh I have a VERY special phone policy...I always say "Oh, just a minute" like I am REALLY interested...then put the phone down and walk off...they hang on thinking you are going to come back and shoot their call time all to hell!

The meat guys crack me up - "we were making a delivery and the order got cancelled" - yeah, right.

I just tell them I'm a vegetarian which works.

For the phone guys - I like Paka's idea - and also giving the phone to your children is fun. "Hi! I like pie! My cat is pretty! What's your name! Oh, yes, my mommy's coming RIGHT back... heh heh" They love that....

In addition to telling the meat guys that you're a vegetarian, you could also feign paranoia and start crying and saying, "you killed Bambi? OMG!! And all the other pretty furry animals!! Waaaaaaaaa!!!"

They'd prolly run pretty quick, then.

hee hee hee........ I hope they show up at my house soon!

And yes, pirate talk for magazine salespeople, fo sho!!!!

Or you could tell the meat guys:

I am good actually. My neighbor, we got into a disagreement, and now, I have a freezer full of meat! Do you wanna buy any?
